1. Check that Google can access your pages
Open your website on a phone and test the main links. Then use URL Inspection in Google Search Console to check a service page. The tool helps identify whether the page is indexed and whether anything prevents access.
A website can work for people who know its address and still be hard to discover. Pages without internal links, crawling blocks or no-index instructions need evaluation before a complete visual redesign.
2. Explain your service in words customers understand
Imagine someone who needs your services but has never heard of your business. Can they understand what you deliver, who you work for and how to request a quote? A phrase like “complete solutions” leaves more questions than answers.
Create a page for each genuinely distinct service. Show the scope, process, examples and frequently asked questions. Use descriptive headings and link to these pages from the home page. This helps both visitors and search engines understand your content.
3. Review your Business Profile if your business is eligible
Map results and website pages are related but distinct presences. In your Business Profile, check your category, contact details, hours, services and current photos. Incomplete information makes decisions harder for people searching.
Local rankings consider factors such as relevance, distance and prominence. A search from another neighborhood may therefore show different businesses. Don't judge your entire digital presence from a single search on your own phone.
4. Track what changes
Record the pages you revise and their publication dates. In Search Console, monitor queries generating impressions and clicks. In your business, track inquiries and ask people how they found you. This helps distinguish increased visibility from increased demand.
Changes do not guarantee first place or citations in AI responses. Start by making your business understandable and your content accessible; the data then shows what needs more work.
